Top Restaurants in Miami
September 16, 2022Miami, The United States – /RGL Real Estate, LLC/
When homebuyers come to a luxury real estate agent, they are usually looking for much more than the perfect home. They also want the local amenities to support a luxury lifestyle, explains Nick Robinson, Miami real estate agent and founder of RGL Real Estate. One of the most important of those elements is the restaurant culture.
Residents of the area enjoy one of the most exciting food cultures in the US with iconic restaurants and dishes and spots so hot they could not even be ranked on the Scoville Scale. In 2022, the Michelin Guide awarded stars to 15 restaurants in Florida, 11 of them in Miami.
Michelin Star Restaurants in Miami
Whether it is a night out, business dinner, or just a change of pace, Miami residents enjoy some of the best restaurants in the country.
L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon Restaurant Miami – Two Stars
The name refers to an artisan’s workshop and the late chef Robuchon’s proteges, who continue the legacy of elevating the simplest of dishes to the most extraordinary standards. The restaurant features modern French cuisine, and iconic signature dishes, alongside a new and ever-changing seasonal menu with ingredients sourced from top local and regional purveyors. As the state’s only two Michelin star restaurant, anyone who hopes for a seat will definitely need a reservation.
Ariete
Serving contemporary American food with a Cuban vibe, the West Coconut Grove restaurant is well deserving of all the buzz it receives. Michael Beltran, executive chef of the one Michelin star restaurant puts things on the menu that can not be found anywhere else. Many dishes, such as the pressed duck, arrive as part of a table-side show that makes heads turn in the entire restaurant. Whether you consider it food or art, the meals are truly inspired.
Boia De
Having worked the line at Michelin-starred restaurants before opening a food truck so phenomenally popular that they were forced to open a restaurant, Chefs Luciana Giangrandi and Alex Meyer’s restaurant is exactly the kind of place homebuyers dream of having in their community. The restaurant is unexpectedly located in a small shopping center, it is completely unpretentious even as the world revels in the phenomenal Italian dishes. There are only 24 seats, so plan far in advance if you’d like to get a seat at the restaurant.
COTE Miami
This Korean steakhouse won a Michelin star for its New York location before opening up the even more popular Design District location in Miami. While the heart of the restaurant is a classical Korean barbeque, the restaurant exponentially elevates the caliber of the food by serving 45-day, dry-aged beef.
The Den at Azabu Miami Beach
This South of Fifth omakase-style Japanese restaurant takes dining to a sublime level. Chef Atsushi Okawara singularly highlights every ingredient in a way that has his massive foodie following waiting days to enjoy some of the phenomenal food and traditional Japanese hospitality.
Elcielo
For those wanting noteworthy Colombian food, Chef Juan Manuel Barrientos’ restaurant Elcielo is the place to go. The Brickell restaurant blends Colombian flavors, farm-to-table ingredients, and molecular gastronomy to create culinary artistry.
Hiden
Pass through the back of the Taco Stand in Wynwood and visitors will find access to a magical omakase-style Japanese restaurant that is much talked about on social media. In addition to an incredible 15-course tasting menu, the restaurant offers one of the most exclusive experiences in town. Lucky diners wait months to get the secret one-time access code to the door and sit at one of the eight seats.
Le Jardinier
The casual junior to the Joël Robuchon L’Atelier restaurant, Le Jardinier is an exceptional and more casual restaurant downstairs at the same location.
Los Felix
This Coconut Grove restaurant earned its star with Mexican cuisine so authentic and elevated that it is simply sublime.
Stubborn Seed
For those seeking something fun, lively, and new, Stubborn Seed is the place to go. Located in Miami Beach, the restaurant offers American Creative cuisine that is always reminiscent of something familiar but taken to a new and exciting place.
The Surf Club Restaurant
When Thomas Keller, one of the most venerated chefs in the nation, opens a restaurant in Miami, it is exactly as one would expect— nothing short of spectacular. The restaurant serves American cuisine with a modern flare.
